Longhorn in Paradise

Hello all! Well, Kat and I paid a visit to Dr. Navi yesterday with the expectation that we would discuss how close Galt was to making his entrance into the world and/or setting up a day to induce next week as Dr. Navi had indicated he would want to do this before we reached term due to Galt's size. (that's my boy!). Anywho, when we arrived at the office, he poked his head into our exam room and said "I have to go see another patient really quick, but go ahead and start thinking about what day next week you want to induce." Hallelujah! we thought. So, after a heated discussion that included some very spurious rationalization for which day to choose (Kat didn't want to miss her MOPs class on Tuesday, so I countered that I didn't want to miss my Dodgers v Astros game on Thursday), we decided Monday would be best. 8 is a lucky number and, we figured, the sooner the better. So, fast forward to Dr. Navi's return to our exam room. By the way, this exam room is where we normally are placed and it has two large orange "vases" that could very well be used for the illegal consumption of marijuana leaves. Back to the point of the story...Dr. Navi examines Kat and determines that she is not near close enough to induce on Monday...Galt has dropped, but not far enough and if we try to induce too early, it could lead to many MANY hours of labor and a possible C-section. SO, now we will have to go back to get checked on Monday and see what progress has been made. We are thinking that end of next week is probably when it is going to happen. So, Patrick, your bet for the 10th does not look likely. If anyone else would care to take a guess at due date, we can do a pool and the winner will get a mention in one of my top-rated blog entries seen by millions. A deal I can't see any of you passing up. :-)
