Our First and Last Yard Sale
Hello to all our adoring Blog Fans. The response to this blog has been so overwhelming, that we may need to pay for extra server space. Keep those comments coming! We so love to hear what is going on in everyone's lives.
This past Saturday, we had our first and, quite likely, our last Yard Sale. It was a street-wide event and was supposed to run from 7am to 11am. We got the first knock on our door on Friday at 6ish. We went ahead and opened the garage and sold all our baby clothes and our Ikea entertainment center. Not bad for a pre-Grand Opening sale! We had been warned to wake up the next morning at 5am as peeps would start showing up at 6am. Well, I woke my lazy butt up at 5:30 and could have probably slept an extra hour!! What a waste. Oh well...we ended up selling all the big things, apart from our electrice dryer. We should have sold that in Texas prior to moving out here. I guess noone uses electric here...it is all gas. So, if anyone needs a brand new Maytag Atlantis dryer, let us know. :-/
So, for four hours of work, we made a couple hundred bucks...not awful, but we could have probably donated it all and gotten a tax break that was larger than what we made. So, that is probably what we will do in the future.
Kat is doing well...still a trooper. I washed both cars today and she foamed the tires. :-) Liska was a great help as well. She soaped up Kat's car and sprayed daddy right in the back on spray mode. Quite refreshing. Her parents are coming out this Saturday and will be staying for a little over a month.
I think we have determined the play list for our gig this weekend:
1. Pipeline (Dick Dale)
2. Rock Lobster (B52s)
3. Twist and Shout
4. Doesn't Remind Me (Audioslave)
5. Unknown Song (we don't know the title, but we can play it)
6. Ethereal Cereal (Natty Five 9 Original)
I got a new drum set last week, so we should really be ready to jam!
Hope everyone is doing well. If you picked up on the sarcasm in the first line of this post, please go ahead and comment. :-)

I am glad you told me it was sarcasm as I was starting to get concerned that I could not see everyone's comments:). I love your blog and love your writing style...always puts a smile on my face. I agree with the first and last yard sale...I had my one and only garage sale and will not do it again.
geez...can't get my name on the blog...in case I am anonymous again the comments are from kirsten...
You need to login...If you don't login, it assumes you are not a member.
no news on baby...will have dr. visit this afternoon and give everyone an update. I think they will talk about inducing next week if he doesn't come naturally this weekend.

Kirsten (and all who care to know), I'm in Loa Utah now waiting to start work as a wilderness field guide. I have no phone yet, and I'm not sure posting phone #'s and addresses on a blog is such a good idea. I will email Jason my info as soon as I get it, but I will be out in the woods/mountains until the end of the month.
