Longhorn in Paradise

Some of you may find this extraordinary...how could such sweet kids ever do something as violent as hit each other...well, ok....they don't really hit each other.  But, man, they threaten like crazy.

I call it jousting.   Both of them stick their arms out in front of them and start making threatening sounds to each other...Hagen makes "monster" sounds and Liska gives a mean look and tells Hagen he is going to get it.  They then run at each other and, because of Liska's reach, she tended to win all the time...but, Hagen has made the appropriate adjustment and dives to the ground at the last second to avoid the hit.  So, noone really gets hurt, but you can see the blood lust in them both.  Kind of scary...

Now, add olympic fever into the mix....they have both been exposed to olympic boxing and now are WAY into that..."lets box!"  is followed by the two of them standing face to face and punching each other like rock em sock em robots and liska announcing the score "1 point for me!"..."100 points for me!"  Hagen has a chance up to about 10 points as he knows what score could be higher than the one she announces, but after that, he is toast.  Liska is undefeated.  

I don't think they have seen Judo or Tae-Kwon-do yet, but Liska did do a flying kick on Hagen the other day which brought a tear to her daddy's eye.  Very impressive!  :-)  

So, I am going to attempt to get back into the blog...I am buying an RV, so will talk about that process next time.  Hope everyone is doing well!
